Handmade vintage dollhouses are making a resurgence in New England. Children just love grand, beautiful and skillfully made dollhouses. Parents and grandparents are dragging these vintage gems out of dusty hiding places to fascinate, inspire and enthrall the next generation of little ones.
We’ve recently been asked by several customers to restore dollhouses that were hand-made by proud dads long ago and passed down to later generations. These 1-inch scale dollhouses had been stored away in attics and basements for 30 + years and were in pretty rough shape. Here are some photos of one of these dollhouses taken after restoration. It needed new wall covering, roof shingles, trim work, wiring repair, and general cleanup. Contact us today to restore your dollhouse for your children or grandchildren!
